Temple of Nuit Privacy Policy

Privacy is a very serious matter.

Pagans and persons who practice nontraditional spirituality have been attacked in the distant and recent past and are still being attacked, and have been murdered, tortured, ridiculed and caused to lose their livelihood -- simply because they weren’t practitioners of mainstream religions. There are those opportunists, as well, who would use this fear and hatred to their own profit, selling private, confidential information to the highest bidder.

The Temple of Nuit, Iseum of Nuit & Bast and Hathor of Dendera Lycem have always adhered to a policy of openness (to the extent possible and reasonable). Seekers could use the website without signing in or even making the Temple aware of their use, with complete privacy. Students have been able to learn in complete freedom and privacy. And even with this openness, we had been left in peace for more than a decade.

The Temple of Nuit collects certain information voluntarily from its registered students. Only necessary information is collected, and it is used for specific purposes, including enhancing and improving the website and classes to fit the needs of students. (The kind of information that would make a student’s name interesting to marketers is not collected.) Entrusting your Priestess Hierophant with your name and city is also important in establishing a relationship of trust between us, because without this trust, we cannot have a student-teacher relationship. There are other reasons, as well, why the Temple needs to collect this information.

This information is kept safe, offline. Hackers cannot access it because it's not online. It is never sold to anyone.

The Temple of Nuit also expects students, both present and former, to respect the privacy of other members and Priests and Priestesses. This means that any information you obtain pertaining to anyone associated with or whom you meet through the Temple must remain strictly confidential. Information should not be discussed with, sold to, or even mentioned to anyone outside of the Temple.
