Values
What the Lyceum Stands For
Hathor of Dendera Lyceum, as a member of the College of Isis, maintains all values set forth in the Fellowship of Isis Manifesto.
The Lyceum respects the freedom of conscience of each member. There are no vows required or commitments to secrecy. All Lyceum activities are optional and members are free to resign without question. Membership in the Lyceum, Iseum and Temple is free.
The Lyceum reverences all manifestations of Life. The God also is venerated. The Rites exclude any form of sacrifice, whether actual or symbolic. Nature is revered and conserved.
The Lyceum accepts religious toleration, and is not exclusivist. Members are free to maintain other religious allegiances. Membership is open to all of every religion, tradition and race.
The Lyceum believes in the promotion of Love, Beauty and Abundance. No encouragement is given to asceticism. The Lyceum seeks to develop friendliness, psychic gifts, happiness, and compassion for all life.
In addition, the Lyceum upholds the manifestation of divine compassion in the world, and equality and social justice, and works toward this end. The Akh Iker Award is presented to those in the community, either local or global, who work unflinchingly toward achieving these goals.
