Magi Degree Course: The Invisible Structures of Light ©

Revision of the Magi Degree Course offered by Hathor of Dendera Lyceum

This revision will bring the Hathor of Dendera MDC in line with the guidelines set forth by the Fellowship of Isis

The Invisible Structures of Light is under complete revision, in order to bring it into line with the FOI guidelines set forth on the College of Isis official webpage. These revisions will also bring the course into the 21st century. The original course was written before 1995; our world had changed significantly since then, and so have we. The changes to this course will reflect the needs of priestesses and priests in a changing world.

The Invisible Structures of Light Magi Degree Course will structured differently. It will no longer be self-paced but will accept students in cohorts who will then move through the program simultaneously. The course is still online, but we have moved to a new server that we hope will provide more consistent service. We are using the same online education software as before.

Returning students will receive credit for the work already completed, and will be allowed to continue on from that point. They may do so individually, or they may choose to wait for the next cohort to cacht up with them, and join that cohort.

Classes begin on the following dates:

June 15, 2009

July 6, 2009

July 20, 2009

This is an Interactive Course

Registered Students must Join and Participate in the online forum.

This is not a correspondence course in the sense of being a mail-order, work on your own course with no contact with other human beings except your teacher. This is a web-based, interactive course and students are required to participate in the private forum. Those students who fail to post the necessary work on the forum, and who do not participate in other ways as described in the course, will not be ordained, and may be dropped from enrollment.

The goal and purpose of the interactive forum is to create a community of priestesses and priests who share ideas, solutions and experiences.

Students who are not willing to be a part of an active, vibrant community of seekers--that is, who would prefer to study completely alone--would be happier at another Lyceum.

You MUST have internet access to participate in this course.

Maintaining Enrollment Status

In order to maintain your status as a student enrolled at this Lyceum, it is your responsibility to stay in contact with your teacher. You are expected to:

  1. Stay in email contact with your teacher. This means you should email her at least once a month, giving her a status report of your progress (or lack of it.) If you are completing and emailing lessons monthly, this fulfills this requirement.
  2. Post regularly on the forum. You are expected to post a minimum of once per month.
Students who fail to do this will be disenrolled, and will have to reapply to continue the course.

Tuition

The entire course consists of 25 classes (see syllabus for details on the classes) divided into four stages and culminating in FOI ordination. Tuition is payable in advance.

Please write for more information about tuition and to receive a membership and course application.

Need-based scholarships and other forms of financial aid are available. If you need help, please inquire.
